If you follow me on Twitter, you’ve seen me tweet incessantly over the past few days about a new restaurant called Coffee, Lunch. Now, it’s your turn, Tumblr.
Anyone who knows me is aware that I am one of the pickiest eaters around. I get my cheeseburgers plain, my sandwiches with just meat and cheese, and don’t eat things like salads and the like. That may all change with Coffee, Lunch.

That is the steak sandwich from Coffee, Lunch. I know everyone talks about Mitchell’s Deli in Nashville as having the best steak sandwich in town, but it pales in comparison to what Coffee, Lunch. has provided.
The sandwich is topped with a seasoned (with what, I don’t know) steak, gruyere cheese, horseradish, arugula, fried leeks, and a butternut squash puree spread. All of this is stacked on a freshly-baked cheddar hoagie. The only thing on this sandwich that I would have found myself eating in the past is the bread, steak and gruyere. Not the case here. I ate every bite of the sandwich and all if its mysterious (to me) toppings.
And it might have been one of the best things I’ve ever had.
Also, I’m not a coffee drinker, but the coffee at Coffee, Lunch. has begun turning me into a believer in the brew.
Not super hungry, but want a snack? They have amazing pastries that range from house-made cinnamon rolls to chocolate chip cookies to an unbelievable chocolate mousse parfait.
Seriously… Go. Eat. Here.
It’s located at 300a 10th Avenue S. in Nashville (attached to the cj Advertising building across the street from Cummins Station). They’re on Twitter and Facebook, so follow/like them there, too.
But most of all, stop by, meet Zack and Khalil (the founders), and enjoy whatever they recommend from the menu. You won’t be sorry.
I am in no way being paid for this post. This place is just that good, and I want to get the word out.
